Warhammer is a miniature-soldier, table-top, strategy, dice-based war-game. Miniatures carry certain characteristics that allow for dice rolls to determine results in a simulated battle. In addition the gaming side of the hobby; there is also a very creative aspect. Building, converting, theming & painting the miniatures takes typically several months to several years to accomplish and is one of th eprimary factors in the game’s appeal.
This army was built with the theme of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” (the movie) in mind. All units are built to represent a particular memorable scene in the movie while simultaneously being representative of a particular military unit in the army. This means the army is not just playable, but also rather entertaining observe.
None of these miniatures are “stock;” instead all are customized in some way either through the use of “kit-bashing” (the use of components from different units to make a new unit) or “conversion” (altering the model through adding sculpted putty or other scratch-built).
I really enjoyed the process of creating this army and it was won me several painting & appearance awards at various Warhammer Tournaments.
